I agree with the article. There does need to be more innovation taught in school. If students are taught that there is a set way to do something and that other ways are wrong they begin to think like this and applie it to life. In reality there are a variety of ways to tackle differnt problems and there should be awards for different ways of solving problems adn diverging from the norm.
ReplyDeleteGlad to know where you stand Israel. I'm alreay working on some new formats for grade and class expectations that will help us be more productive but also give students more choice for next year.
