T-Minus 5, 4, 3, 2, 1...

I've been working over break to get a project along these lines together for us...

Wish me luck!

Anyone have any ideas what kind of a video camera they mounted to the rocket? Extra credit available if you can research and share good info on what this may be.

Impulse

-in mechanics, something that changes the momentum of an object; the integral of a force with respect to time.

If we launch model rockets on the football field, what is the largest size engine we can use and have them reliably land within the open area of the field/track (assuming no wind)?

Spindrift

We had remarkable Santa Ana winds today (what causes these? what time of year do we usually have them and why?)

The subject of wind and sea are relavent to our curriculum this week.

In both engineering courses we'll be doing a team building/negotiation/game event that relates to survival at sea.

In the Principles course we'll be doing some technical analysis on wind power.
