Lost at Sea!

If you were adrift at sea, what would you need to survive? What might help you be rescued? Familiarize yourself with the topic if you have time because our competitive block day activities on Tuesday/Wednesday may draw from this topic (hint, hint... ;) ).

    2.A hand pumped water purifier
    3. A poncho to keep in the shade and to catch freshwater.
    4. A personal item, retainig your sanity is of utmost importance.

2)the second thing i will need will be a sweater because i could use it to cover me from the sun and also it will help me in the night when the temperature drops ..
3)i will need a flash light ..because i could use it in the night for light and also it could help me get rescue
4)i will want also water to keep my alive and like that i wont faint.

  3. Well, first off, you can't CAN NOT ever EVER drink the seawater. It Doesnt Matter how tempted you are to drik it, or how dehydrated you are, it will dry your body out very quickly. To survive, it would be helpful to have a water purifier, but that would probably not be available. Also, having a metal object or bright colored piece of something would be helpful for signaling aircraft or boats. Clothing that is good for hot weather but also covers your body is important. Sunburn is painfull when you get burns ontop of burns.

1)I would need a purifyer of some sort
    2) a tool to fish for food...harpoon or fishing pole wig some bait
    3) a light source to signal planes (flashlights, flare gun, fire)
    And finally
    4) a wet suit to stay warm in the water if i go in it

  6. Good insight engineers. It seems that you all have some common themes releating to survival and rescue, both of which are significant to our negotiation game!
